SEAN ONO LENNON
Sean Lennon is a man of many hats. Like an alien who fell to earth and had to quickly assimilate humanity, he is a vast rolodex of accents, facts, farce, a myriad of motor skills... In addition to his own albums and film scores, Sean plays in Claypool Lennon Delirium, Mystical Weapons, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger/The GOASTT and Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band.
Sean's kitchen doubles as the Chimera office.

The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger weaves narratives around a metaphysical geography of their own devising, finding a surrealist beauty in the mundane. Their songs are like Dali's imaginary landscapes: lavender roads, oil slicks radiating rainbows, ballerinas tipping off tightropes, sweating snowmen, black and white films beamed from the future, Schroedinger’s cat meets Pavlov's dog… Curiouser and curiouser, The GOASTT’s world is a beguiling Wonderland and one stunning debut. Now available on cassette tape via Cali label Lolipop Records.
Sean Lennon's original score for indie film Alter Egos, starring Kris Lemche. Sweeping orchestral arrangements, surf guitar, epic superhero themes and a touch of eerie that recalls Twin Peaks. All of these diverse elements blend seamlessly together on Sean Lennon's Alter Egos film score - the musical backdrop for a comedic alternate reality that flips the superhero genre on its head. Lennon acts as both composer and performer on the twenty-song soundtrack. Miho Hatori (Cibo Matto / Gorillaz) lends her voice to "Fridge Walks," one of two vocal tracks on Alter Egos. Lennon released previous film score, Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Undead, to great critical acclaim. The diversity of both projects is a testament to his range as a musician, with Rolling Stone praising the Alter Egos score as "a pastiche of familiar superhero movie orchestration and a variety of pop styles, further cement[ing] Lennon's reputation as a musical chameleon." Similarly, Variety notes an ability to "span a wide array of musical styles from retro to noir to psychedelic to sweeping, tension-filled action."

Sean Lennon's AVA’S POSSESSIONS film score is the musical backdrop for a quirky and eerie alternate reality that flips the possessions genre on its head, starring Louisa Krause, Carol Kane, Jemima Kirke and Dan Fogler. A mysterious, dreamy wash of echoey drum machines and keyboards with dark and foreboding synth arrangements, twangy guitar riffs with a sci-fi western flair, 50s pop, 70s punk, creepy demonic themes interlaced with a touch raunchy, swaggering horns that recalls old school film noir — these diverse elements blend seamlessly to build a world of ominous moods and devilish confrontations, with a surprisingly fresh indie rock edge. Lennon acts as both composer and performer on 10 of the songs, the remaining 2 being bonus tracks contributed by A.A. Khan (aka King Kahn) and Mary Ochers. Vocalists Karla Moheno, Bishi and Foley Steward lend their voices to “Different Drum,” “Devil Daughter” and “Blame Beelzabub” respectively. Lennon has released two previous film scores, Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Undead and Alter Egos, to great critical acclaim. The diversity of these projects is a testament to his range as a musician, with nearly every review commenting on the film's music, calling it one of the single best things about the film.

Previously only available on tour, this new EP features 8 electric tracks by The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger. With special guests Mark Ronson and Matthieu -M- Chedid.
Four more psych-rock gems by The GOASTT on 10" vinyl and digital download...if you loved Midnight Sun and the Long Gone EP, here's more!
After a handful of acoustic gigs, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger has undergone a metamorphosis in the studio, emerging as an electric band on their first single, “Jardin du Luxembourg”, recorded by bassist/producer Mark Ronson. Full of whimsical wordplay and eclectic instrumentation, this pop gem could almost pass for a mid-1960s relic. The b-side goes modern, re-imagining Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot’s 1967 recording “Comic Strip” as a tongue-in-cheek hip-hop romp with the help of French star Matthieu Chedid (aka M).
Charlotte Kemp Muhl: vocals, Wurlitzer, Mellotron
Sean Lennon: vocals, guitar, drums
Mark Ronson: bass, producer
Matthieu Chedid, guest vocals & lead guitar on Comic Strip
A re-press of the Claypool Lennon Delirium's 10" record "Lime and Limpid Green" including covers of Pink Floyd’s “Astronomy Domine”, The Who’s “Boris The Spider”, King Crimson’s “The Court of the Crimson King” and Flower Travellin’ Band’s “Satori”. Comes on splattered, limpid green vinyl.
We have some copies left of this vinyl EP, which was only available at GOASTT shows last year. Five songs on 10” vinyl…if you like Midnight Sun, here’s more, including a cover of Syd Barrett’s "Long Gone". Comes with digital download card.
Years in development and previewed first on NPR's First Listen, Midnight Sun was released on April 29, 2014 and received strong critical response. A departure from their previous more acoustic efforts, critics were almost universally positive about the album, with NME sharing “Midnight Sun positively slays…Midnight scorchio, more like.” The album was mixed by Dave Fridmann and all songs were produced by Kemp and Sean, except for “Johannesburg” which was produced by Mark Ronson.
Mystical Weapons is Sean Lennon (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger) and Greg Saunier (Deerfhoof) with visuals by Martha Colburn.

The score to an idiosyncratic vampire flick, composed on Lennon's bedroom computer, Undead is dramatic and wild, inspired by Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai circa early '70s. Featuring Kool Keith and Miho Hatori on 'Desire'.

The GOASTT’s tribute to the late psych-rock legend Roky Erickson. MXDWN shares, “The GOASTT takes the song from its proto-psych garage roots and brings it to the modern era with plenty of contemporary psychedelic elements.”
